About Us

Our Mission

At Omega Schools, our mission is to provide an education that opens doors and change lives.

Through great curriculum, intensive teacher coaching and actionable data, we help teachers and school leaders bring quality to every classroom. Our innovative "Pay-As-You-Learn" daily fee model makes our schools as affordable as possible for parents and caregivers.

Founded in 2008 by low-cost private school pioneer James Tooley and now part of the Rising Academy Network — one of Africa's largest and fastest-growing school networks — we combine specialist international education expertise with a deep understanding and knowledge of the communities we serve.

Innovative
Curriculum.

We have created, for every subject and every level, lesson plans, workbooks, digital content, and intensive training so that our teachers can teach consistently at a higher level than in other schools.

Continual
Improvement.

We are continuously seeking to improve both what we do and how we do it. We hold ourselves to a high standard of conduct and performance. We set goals as an organisation and as professionals and support each other in reaching those goals. We give and receive feedback, and constantly work to improve our performance as individuals and as an organization.

The Pay-As-You-Learn™ Model

Every Child
Matters.

We want to empower the aspirations of every child and give them a valuable education with which they can improve their lives. Our motto is “Every Child Matters,” which means:

  • We treat every child with upmost respect and courtesy.

  • We believe every child has something that no other child has.

  • We believe every child can learn.

  • We become successful when all our children are able to learn.

Mission
First.

Omega is a for-purpose business focused on a social mission to empower the aspirations of low income families and their communities. We have deep respect and responsibility towards all our stakeholders – the children, parents, teachers and the communities where we work.

Leveraging
Scale.

Our business model leverages scale, reducing costs to a level that can dramatically extend access and improve quality.

Daily Fees.

No hidden fees! We provide an all-inclusive daily fee (of about 75 US cents) including tuition, hot lunch, a set of workbooks, two sets of uniforms, mid and end of term assessment, and health insurance. Our daily fee is equivalent to the out-of-pocket cost of sending a child to a ‘free’ government school in Ghana.

Every Cedi
Counts.

We know parents make daily sacrifices to send their children to our schools and therefore strive to offer the best value education in West Africa.
